Sumida Park

Sumida Park is a public access park parallel to the Sumida River. It is located between the area of the Tokyo Skytree and the Tokyo Skytree from the park Sumida Cherry trees and relax. It is the ideal combination of cherry trees and viewpoints of the park.

On the banks of the Sumida River, there are some 700 cherry trees which create a beautiful mosaic of white and pink colours. In fact, many tokiotes come here to sit under the cherry trees and hanami Picnics.

The cherry trees of Sumida Park are an indescribable setting for the Tokyo Skytree tower and can also be enjoyed from the cruises that depart every day on the Sumida River.

These cruises are both day and night because the cherry trees are illuminated at night. This allows us to enjoy the yozakura or nocturnal illumination of the cherry trees thanks to the cherry trees festival of Sumida Park. During this time we can also find street food and drink stalls here.

During the cherry blossom season, you can hire a night cruise on the Sumida River and enjoy the beauty of the cherry blossoms illuminated at night. During the cherry festival of Sumida Park, the cherry trees are lit from 18:00 to 21:00 hours.

How to arrive to Sumida Park

The best way to get to Sumida Park is from Asakusa Station. This station is served by the Ginza metro line, the Toei Asakusa metro line and the Tobu Skytree private line. None of which, by the way, can be used with the JR Pass.

You can also get there via river cruises. Anyway, you can use Google Maps to see how to get there from your location.
