Javier Fernández will take his flamenco show to Japan. He is an ice skater, an Olympic bronze, two-time world champion, and six-time European champion. The “Flamenco on Ice” show is a fusion between figure skating and Flamenco with the Spanish cultural identity as the guiding thread. Certainly, the show will be available at the end of May.
Japan is a country where figure skating enjoys great popularity and is the ‘second home‘ of Flamenco. For this reason, will be the starting point to begin the international expansion of this show. There will be three sessions in Tokyo and another three in Sendai, from 24 May to 2 June.
Finally, Javier Fernández, Japan’s ambassador to Spain, Masashi Mizukami, and the director of the Spanish National Ballet, Antonio Najarro, will present this tour this Thursday 9th May 2019 at the Japanese Embassy in Madrid.
